Inhalt

Behavioral Finance delves into the intersection of psychology and finance, challenging traditional economic theories with insights from behavioral science.

Content Structure:

• Behavioral Household Finance: This section covers non-standard behavioral preferences (like risk, time, and social preferences), decision-making processes, and choice architecture, providing psychology-based insights into individual financial behavior.
  
• Behavioral Corporate Finance: Focusing on psychological models of asset prices and trading volume, this part explores topics like biases in investors and managers, and the impact of these biases on corporate decisions.
  

Methodology:

1. Interactive Learning: Engaging lectures and discussions
   
2. Student Presentations: Students will present academic papers, fostering a deeper understanding of lecture topics.
   
3. Group Discussions: In-depth plenary discussions following presentations to explore topics further.
   
4. Examinations: A written exam at the end of the semester to assess understanding of course materials and their applications.
   

Assessment:
Presentation: 40%
Final Exam: 60%

Besonderheit bei der Anmeldung: Aufgrund einer Prüfungsleistung während des Semesters müssen Sie sich aufgrund technischer Begebenheiten bereits bei Anmeldung mit TAN für einen Prüfungstermin entscheiden. Jedoch kann dies nach Absprache mit dem Studienbüro nochmals geändert werden. Auch eine Abmeldung ist bis zu einem festgelegten Termin möglich.
